Another point of improvement would be the use of filters, especially the part of changing resolutions, man!, it's a painful thing, upscale a video, for example, no matter how much you insert the resolution filter, and change the resolution values (for example I want to change a resolution from 720x540 to 960x720 being the movie, in 4:3 scale), the program just doesn't do it! Even avidemux, with its non-intuitive interface, directs you in an easier way, to change the resolution, and to insert the filters. ![]() Another point that bothers me is the "mysterious" crashes, which it has, depending on the output format to choose, the program simply closes without further explanation. However, it is a program for advanced users, who are already used to more advanced compression configurations, so anyone who is an atypical user may feel confused when configuring an output format. I like XMedia Recode because it is one of the few software that works with external codecs that are extremely frequent as codec updates, in addition to offering a multitude of formats.
